IRONSAVE
Corrosion inhibitor: to make the process more economical without slowing it down.
Acid pickling is for removing oxides from the surface of steel materials. It is a key step in the hot-dip galvanizing process. In most plants, it is done by dipping the steel pieces into an acid solution with hydrochloric acid (HCl). In this solution, the acid attacks both the oxides and any exposed metal surface. To avoid this phenomenon, corrosion-inhibiting products are used that allow surface oxides to be removed without attacking the steel surface.
IRONSAVE is a corrosion inhibitor specifically formulated for the hot-dip galvanizing process.
IRONSAVE: THE ADVANTAGES
- It reduces acid consumption;
- It provided a proper protection of the metal across different steel kinds;
- It produces smoother surfaces after the pickling stage, thus avoiding ‘hidden’ absorptions during galvanizing;
- It ensures protection of the materials immersed in the pickling even during week-ends;
- It reduces the effect of hydrogen embrittlement;
- Together with ANTIVAPOR, it helps create an improved working environment;
