SB-CLEAN
Additive for alkaline degreasing in hot dip galvanizing plants.
Cold rolling and machine processes leave residual oil and grease on the metal surfaces. In order for the pre-treatment process to work efficiently, the steel surfaces must be free of oil and grease.
SB-CLEAN is a chemical additive for alkaline degreasing baths. It improves degreasing performance, and prolongs the life of the solution.
THE ADVANTAGES OF USING SB-CLEAN
- Increases the degreasing performance of the alkaline solution;
- Requires a lower concentration of sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide compared to normally used concentrations;
- Requires a low working temperature (min 40°C – max 60°C);
- Brings energy savings with respect to traditional baths;
- It has slightly hazardous characteristics;
- The solution is easy to monitor simply by checking the alkalinity of the tank regularly.
